REVIEW / Forza Motorsport (XSX)

Image
I’m not exactly the target audience for simulation racing games. I like cool supercars and such, but I can get those in arcade-style racers. Basically, I don’t know the functional difference between a V6 and a V8; I’m not a car nut. I got into the  Forza Motorsport  series by surprise, because I needed a family-friendly launch game for the Xbox One back in the day. But ever since then, I’ve been all over this series, and while I do still prefer the likes of  Forza Horizon , I was just as excited for the newly number-free  Forza Motorsport  as anyone. So, from the perspective of a  Forza  fan (if not a simulation racing fan), how does it stack up? The  Forza  series has been Microsoft’s graphical showcase for Xbox consoles for a while now, and while  Forza Motorsport  took some time to come out, it absolutely delivers on the promise of the Xbox Series X. There’s so much detail to the crowds and the tracks, to the point where I...

REVIEW / The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Deluxe Soundtrack (4xLP Vinyl)

Image
The vinyl record boom has resulted in an increase in videogame soundtracks being pressed. I recently reviewed the   Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time   vinyl pressing   Hero of Time 2xLP  and was blown away not only by the music but the artwork for the album. It should only be appropriate that I pick up the soundtrack to another one of my favorite games of all-time,   The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt . Now, I made a jest during my relatively recent review of Hero of Time that I was disappointed in the fact that the original pressing of  The Witcher 3  was extremely limited and I wasn’t able to pick it up before it sold out online. Spacelab9 must have heard the commotion on social media because not only did they repress the soundtrack, but they also added pressings for the  Hearts of Stone  and  Blood Wine  DLCs. The Witcher 3  4xLP, released towards the end of 2017 via ThinkGeek byway Spacelab9, comes in a tri-fold cover that fea...

Electro-House musician Kavinsky will be sending fans a Nightcall in GTAV

The Gamer’s Drop have reported that electronic artist Kavinsky will be making an appearance in   Grand Theft Auto V  on a radio-station called “NightRide FM”. No word on the genre of the station, but considering one (or maybe two or three) of Kavinsky’s tracks will be featured in it, it’ll  probably run some of the latest electro-house tracks for   GTA V   players to listen to us they cruise through the streets of Los Santos. Kavinsky is a famous French electronic musician who rose to prominence after his track “Nightcall” was featured in the critically acclaimed movie “Drive”. A remix of his track “Testarossa Autodrive” by SebastiAn was also featured in  Grand Theft Auto IV . Grand Theft Auto V is set for release sometime in 2013. 0 of 34 seconds Volume 0%
